How it works with Geotab
My Transport Planner integrates directly with Geotab to streamline setup, planning, and daily execution. Vehicles equipped with Geotab devices are automatically imported into Optimize, with key information such as vehicle identity and live location synchronised in real time. This provides a fast, low-friction starting point for planning using trusted telematics data.
To accurately reflect the realities of each operation, additional operational detail can be layered alongside Geotab data. This may include vehicle carrying capacity, specialist equipment or attributes (such as tail lifts, cranes, or moffett mounts), driver skills, certifications, and shift patterns. Enriching vehicle and driver profiles in this way enables the automatic assignment of the right jobs to the right resources, reducing manual effort and improving utilisation.
Jobs and tasks can be created directly within My Transport Planner, imported in bulk, or automatically pushed via API from source systems such as order management, TMS, or field service platforms. This ensures planning is always based on the latest demand, without the need for duplicate data entry.
Using live and historical Geotab location data, routes and schedules can be optimised either in advance or adjusted during the day to reflect real operating conditions. As routes are executed, vehicles remain visible on the live map, supporting real-time monitoring, accurate ETAs, and consistent service delivery.
