SEGAS is a modular alarm that protects the truck’s diesel. Its security level can be configured by the customer and expanded over time without disassembly. It always protects the batteries by drawing 24V power directly from them, avoiding interference with the vehicle’s control units. It also includes an internal battery, so the alarm will still trigger if power is cut.

Being modular, it allows protection of key areas. Initially, it protects fuel tanks using 4.0 vibration sensors that filter out false alarms (e.g., from nearby noise like free-flow exhaust or refrigeration units). But if someone strikes or tries to drill the tank, the alarm will go off.

Caps can also be protected: if the alarm is active, it will sound when the cap is turned. If inactive and connected to Geotab, it logs the cap’s opening, closing, and location.

A useful accessory is the spotlight, which makes the vehicle more visible during an alarm—ideal for identifying which truck is being targeted in a crowded parking area and deterring theft.

Finally, the system connects to Geotab to provide detailed alarm data, such as activation/deactivation, cap events, and alarm triggers.
